My Thoughts On The L’Oreal Paris Clay Mask πŸ§–‍♀️

Hey guys!

I recently picked up the new L’Oreal Paris Cleansing Clay mask and decided to share my thoughts on it with you guys. Using facial masks is definitely one of my favourite things to do whilst procrastinating so I will have a few more reviews on different masks coming your way very soon!

About the product:

The L’Oreal Paris website states that “The creamy texture of this deep cleansing face mask detoxifies the skin’s surface and works deep into the pores, leaving the skin looking clarified and beautified.Β Smooth a layer onto your skin and experience the relaxing fragrances.”

Here are some images just after application of the mask and once the mask has fully dried (excuse my bare face lol).

(I promise I actually smile, my face is stuck from the mask, I’m not always this miserable lol)

The formula was more liquid than I expected in comparison to other clay masks I have used in the past, e.g. Khiels Clay mask. However, this formula made application a lot easier so I just applied it with my fingers, which worked just fine for me. Although I probably applied the clay mask a little too heavily, which is why some patches of the masks doesn’t look dry, 100% my mistake.

Like with all clay or cleansing masks that I have tried, my skin is extremely dry once I remove the mask. This isn’t really an issue as I just apply my moisturiser after application, but it’s just something to consider if you have really dry skin. Other than that, this mask definitely cleansed my skin.Β You can see from the images that the masks skins into the pores whilst it is drying, extracting any oils and dirt, which I find super satisfying.

I really love the formula of this clay mask. For one, I definitely feel like this mask cleanses my skin, leaving it feeling very smooth after application and removal. As well as this, it’s not crumbly when it dries, which isn’t really a negative but I just find it really annoying.

Another thing that I really like about this product, aside from its cleansing capabilities, is the scent. I don’t like when face masks or moisturisers have a really strong scent, like The Body Shop’s Himalayan clay mask (review coming soon!), which has such a strong scent it makes my eyes water… not exactly the relaxing experience I am looking for… The L’Oreal mask doesn’t have a lovely smell, just a gentle smell of an average clay mask.

Would I repurchase? Ooooh yes I would! Such an inexpensive clay mask that actually works really well. Would recommend.

Thanks for reading and keep an eye out for my next post!
